    Our Consulting division offers a variety of customized classes, seminars, trainings, and workshops geared toward building your skills and your effectiveness as a leader. Pricing for our training and enrichment workshops may vary depending on the length of the course, number of participants and specific training needs.     • Attracting the Right Talent in 2019  - This course will delve into unemployment rates, wages, demographics and hiring statistics, among other 2019 market dynamics. Attendees will be coached on the critical elements of the hiring process as well as how to onboard and retain staff effectively.
    • Emotional Intelligence  - A key component of leadership success is the ability to read and work effectively with all types of people. Individuals with high emotional intelligence are skilled at using empathy and constructive communication to build stronger relationships and create a productive work environment. In this course, we will focus on the core emotional intelligence competencies that will help attendees reach their next level of interpersonal success..
    • Business Ethics  -  Discussion of the relationships among law, ethics, and corporate responsibility. Review of business reasons to support programs and directives which uphold strong ethics. Identify corporate stakeholders and their responsibilities. Discuss concepts of “due diligence” and “effective compliance.
    • Supervisor Boot Camp Training - Our Boot Camp training is designed to give supervisors the essential knowledge needed to lead others in the workplace with confidence. Participants will earn their stars while they explore basic employment laws and learn what compliance of those laws look like from a practical stand point. This training will also cover how to promote a harassment free work environment, tips on interviewing and hiring, coaching employees to success and the proper use of progressive discipline.
    • DISC Assessment – Communication Styles  - Communication is the key to great leadership and to smooth team work. Discover your own best style of communication after taking the DISC assessment and surprise your co-worker with a new understanding of their style. This course gives you the tools to identify better ways to understand your co-workers. Bring a co-worker with you and explore communication styles that benefit you personally and your organization.

  • Management Classes

     

    • Conflict Management for Supervisors - Participants will be introduced to the basic principles of conflict resolution. The content of the course centers upon the skills essential to resolving conflict: listening, dialogue, communication, perception, creativity, and collaboration. The goal is to develop skills and strategies for authentic conflict resolution and effective change.
    • Employees Online - This seminar offers current interpretations of laws as they relate to social media and your employees. Additionally, supervisors will gain an understanding of how to develop electronics and security policies that govern the vast array of personal and company owned electronics. Recommendations will be provided for how you can respond to leave requests. Personal Leave, Military Leave, Family and Medical Leave, and Domestic Violence Leave (Florida) will be reviewed.
    • Legal Update - This course will discuss current changes in employment law that affect small to medium size businesses. Featured are recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court cases. Participants will gain the knowledge to implement the lessons of those decisions to avoid legal exposure.
    • Creating an Airtight Selection Process Employment Law Overview & Best Practices -  This course offers participants a working knowledge of employment law. Supervisors are introduced to laws regulating employment in order to enhance confidence in handling employment issues. Participants will also learn when to partner with their Human Resources Manager for additional guidance. By raising a supervisor's level of knowledge of the laws and regulations, the potential for litigation is lessened.
    • Generational Differences  - Generational differences exist in the workplace now more than ever. Although we should not draw stereotypical conclusions about individual employees based on age, an understanding of common differences can be useful for managing teams, especially if there are significant age gaps between manager and employees. We will review common work style preferences amongst multi-generations and provide helpful tips on how to get the best out of each of them

  • Safety Seminars

    • Risk Management Seminar Safety Pays - In today's fast-paced work environments, productivity is a critical measurement for supervisors, management, or corporate leadership. Did you know that safe work processes play a major role in improving efficiency and productivity? This seminar will discuss the effects of workplace injuries, poor work processes, and non-compliance and how they affect the bottom line. Poorly designed work environments lead to many wastes such as time, material, excess inventories, and excessive material handling to name just a few. Injury and illness prevention programs, residual risk reduction (3R's), lean, and kaizen are just a few strategies that can be used to abate these risks. During this seminar attendees will learn how to apply these strategies by completing exercises.
    • Adult First Aid, CPR & AED for the Workplace, Individuals and Schools - This is an American Red Cross course designed for lay responders. Participants will be trained how to respond in emergency situations as well as how to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults. This 7-hour course (including breaks) is designed to provide the lay responder with knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life, minimize pain, and the consequences of injury and/or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements will be provided with American Red Cross certification cards for Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid. Certification is valid for two years. Additionally, participants will have access to free online digital refreshers.

LandrumHR is pleased to partner with Training Today to offer HR Compliance & Workplace Safety courses.  This flexibility allows all levels of employees and management to learn at their own pace.  All courses include content testing and course tracking.
