Reflections of DENISE MCLEOD
Retired VP and COO for Landrum Staffing and VP of HR for the PEO Division

I realize how lucky I have been to work for someone like Mr. Landrum–someone who we could have complete trust in, who valued us, included us in everything, who was very generous, and who had and still has such a leadership style that being committed to him is a no-brainer. Mr. Landrum’s method of managing is to treat people the way he would want to be treated. He brings out the best in people.

Throughout my forty-two years at Landrum, the philosophy was always the same. Take care of the client. Do the right thing. We’re not here to be the biggest–we’re here to be the best.

Looking back, I believe that the values that set our company apart were integrity, love, and a culture of family. Mr. Landrum can be proud of the company he built. He built it out of truly wanting to help people. That attitude and those values withstand the test of time. To me, that is what this book is all about.
