LandrumHR Joins Military Spouse Employment Partnership Program

LandrumHR, a Pensacola, Florida based Professional Employer Organization (PEO), was recently appointed as a partner with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership Program. This award and recognition is extremely honorable as organizations must be selected to participate. Mandy Resmondo Sacco, Vice President of Staffing, and Tina Collins, specialist with LandrumHR Staffing Division, attended the award ceremony in Washington, DC, that took place on Monday, October 2, 2017.

"The Landrum Staffing division works closely with our military community in both our Pensacola and FWB offices," said Tina Collins with the staffing agency. "Services that our Staffing Division works with most frequently include the Warriors Working Program, Military Fleet and Family, Military Appreciation App, and now the Military Spouse Employment Partnership Program."

The Military Spouse Employment (MSEP), is an employment and career partnership that connects military spouses with more than 335 partner employers. These employer partners have committed to hire, promote and retain military spouses in portable careers.

The Military Spouse Employment Partnership Program was launched in 2011 by Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President and veteran Joe Biden, as part of the DOD Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. The program seeks to reduce the 23 percent unemployment rate experienced by military spouses, and close the 25 percent wage gap experienced by military wives. The MSEP has hired over 98,000 spouses since its initial inception and has helped create more than five million jobs across the country.
