A criminal defense law office in Pensacola is in need of a full-time Legal Assistant to join their team. Check out the description below to see if this position sounds like a great fit for you!

You Enjoy:

*Answering phones and taking accurate messages if the attorney is unavailable.
*Greeting clients and offering them coffee/water until the attorney is ready to meet.
*Organizing and maintaining documents, case files and filing.
*E-filing pleadings with the Court.
*Contacting clients and gathering information needed.
*Scheduling appointments as directed and maintaining the calendar.
*Scheduling and coordinating hearings and depositions.
*Maintaining regular communication with the Clerk, State Attorney’s Office and judges’ assistants.
*Typing dictation.
*Photocopying and scanning of correspondence, documents and other printed matter.
*Drafting of letters and pleadings as instructed and directed.
*Performing clerical secretarial duties using legal terminology, under general supervision.
*Data entry into CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System.
*Tracking financial obligations with clients.
*Performing any and all other duties as directed and requested.
*Keeping the office tidy, emptying trash and refilling supplies as necessary or as otherwise directed.
*Assisting other attorney’s office with greeting clients as requested.
*Effectively communicating both written and verbally in a professional manner.

You Are:

*Proficient in Microsoft Word for Mac computers is required.
*Self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented and have the ability to work independently.
*Dressed and professional at all times.
*Coachable/trainable and eager to learn new skills.
*A team player with a positive attitude and working well with others.

You Have:

*Strong skills in writing, grammar, typing and computer.
*A working knowledge of Mac computers and built-in software is required.
*Strong time management and organizational skills.
*Strong work ethic, reliable in time commitments to the office.
*A pleasant personality on the phone and in person with clients.

Compensation and Schedule:

*This position is full-time and pays $12-$13/Hour, depending on experience. Then $13-$17/Hour after the 15 week period, depending on experience.
*Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p. m., but flexible if needed.

Assignment Type:

This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 15 weeks. Once the 15 weeks is over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment out longer through Landrum.
