The City of Milton is in need of a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join their team. Check out the description below to see if this position sounds like a great fit for you!

You Enjoy:

*Operating and maintaining requirements on mechanical and electrical equipment at the wastewater treatment plant and potable water wells.
*Regulating rates of flow for water, regulating machines, and adding chemicals to water under treatment prescribed by regulation.
*Reading and changing a variety of charts, meters, and keeping a log sheet to prepare operating reports.
*Maintaining proper water pressure and water storage levels at potable water wells.
*Observing the physical condition of sewage under treatment of proper temperature, color, and odor
*Operating pumps, agitators, valves, and other equipment to properly treat raw sewage.

You Are:

*Able to understand the implications of improper water or sewage treatment for community health and well-being.
*Able to inspect machinery and other mechanical equipment in operation to detect flows and defects.
*Able to read meters and chart accurately, as well as maintaining records of shift operations when directed to do so.
*Basic understanding of the sciences involved in wastewater treatment and potable water treatment.

You Have:

*A valid Florida driver’s license.
*A high school diploma or equivalent.
*Two years’ experience as a certified operator of a wastewater treatment plant and at least one year experience with potable water wells.
*Interest in obtaining a Class “C” Drinking Water Certification for promotion to Operator II.

Compensation and Schedule:

This position is full-time and pays $13. 84 per hour. Hours vary and the employee must is subject to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Assignment Type:

This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 12 weeks. Once the 12 weeks is over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment out longer through Landrum.
