A growing commercial real estate firm is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to join its dynamic team in Pensacola. The Assistant Construction Manager position supports and assists in the management of construction projects and oversees their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Assistant Construction Manager is involved in all aspects of the project including budgeting, organizing, implementing and scheduling, and will handle projects ranging from 5, 000 SqFt to 80, 000 SqFt. You Enjoy:

*Assisting with site selection process including ESA, geotechnical review, planning, zoning and permitting
*Assisting with oversight on construction projects from conception to completion, and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
*Working with construction managers on project start up, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
*Supporting coordination and direct general contractors and subcontractors
*Managing any given portion of project scope, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and/or electrical
*Project document management and project controls
*Reviewing work progress on daily basis
*Assisting in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule
*Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status
*Analyzing, managing and mitigating risks
*Assisting in development of project quality control plan implementation and compliance with contract requirements to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
*Managing tracking logs (materials, invoices, etc.)
*Coordinating owner furnished items with project scope of work
*Preparing and issuing meeting minutes
*Supporting the construction manager and project team with budget report and accurate cost projections
*Managing punch list and work with subcontractors to execute the punch list in accordance with project schedule
*Coordinating Owner training

You Have:

*Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering or related field is desired
*1-3 years’ experience desired in construction and/or construction management
*Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
*Familiarity with construction management software packages preferred
*Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
*Understanding of all facets of the construction process
*Excellent time and project management skills
*Ability to multitask
*Ability to travel if needed
*Must have or can acquire a Florida Driver’s License
