A local social services entity in Pensacola is in need of a full-time Eligibility Customer Service Specialist to join their team. Check out the description below to see if this position sounds like a great fit for you!
*Receiving front desk incoming calls, and direct inquires/messages as appropriate.
*Communicating with staff, customers and childcare providers.
*Communicating with and refers customers to other agencies
*Assisting with program correspondence, record collection, and data input including case notes and retrieval.
*Assisting customers with online applications
*Reviewing computer edit listings and makes necessary corrections as required.
*Preparing and sending outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes.
*Delivering oral and written messages. Provides basic information to callers regarding programs, policies, and procedures.
*Collecting and distributing paperwork to appropriate staff and agencies.
*Making copies of correspondence and other printed materials as necessary.
*Screening visitors and provides information not requiring professional staff attention and makes referrals to appropriate departments.
*Preparing letters, reports, and statements as required by the program.
*Arranging and scheduling customer appointments.
*Establishing and maintaining records, requisitions, and other information related services provided by the program to clients.
*Participating in in-service training opportunities as requested.
*Maintaining confidentiality when handling client records and information of a sensitive nature.
*Completing other duties as assigned
*Able to pass a Level II background screening.
*Able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memoranda.
*Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group sessions.
*Able to operate office equipment such as computer, fax machine, photocopier, postage meter and multi-line telephone system.
*Able to plan, organize and coordinate multiple work assignments.
*Able to communicate (in oral and written format) effectively.
*Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
*Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Skype.
*Knowledge of early education and care is beneficial.
*Strong organizational skills.
*The ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, twist at the waist, and routinely operate a computer keyboard, telephone, copier and fax machine. Able to operate an automobile. Medium (less than 50 pounds) lifting occasionally required.
Compensation and Schedule:
*This position is full-time and pays $12/per hour
* Hours are Monday– Thursday from 7:30am-5:30pm (9 hr. day, starting at either 7:30 or 8:00am), + Friday 8:00am-12:00pm
Assignment Type:This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 12 weeks. Once the 12 weeks is over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment out longer through Landrum.
