You Enjoy:Compiling and maintaining personnel records in payroll system and client facing online products. Compiling payroll data to issue payroll checks and maintaining payroll records by performing the following duties.
*Recording employee information such as compensation and termination date and reason in payroll system and online systems such as XactTime, ezWeb and Company’s Secure Portal.
*Verifying wages and recording data for use in payroll processing.
* Reviewing and verifying information prior to input to identifying wage and hour issues and notifying Supervisor of any potential problems.
*Ensuring accuracy in overtime calculations to meet Department of Labor requirements when hours are paid at multiple rates or bonuses are paid.
*Compiling payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and miscellaneous deductions to be withheld from time sheets, thru fax, import, XactTime or call in.
*Entering data into computer files, computeing wages and deductions and posting to payroll records.
*Reviewing wages, tax basis, taxes and deductions and correcting errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
*Ensuring all changes put into PayPlus are documented, marked complete by the Payroll Coordinator making the change, and forwarded to Document Management department for auditing via PaperWise.
*Preparing reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, etc. as requested by client.
*Keeping records of payment of leave pay and nontaxable wages as required.
*Routing payroll to clients using the most cost effective means while ensuring timely delivery.
*Preparing end of day financial reports on a rotation cycle.
*Answering questions in a courteous manner from employees regarding payroll.
*Answering questions in a courteous manner from clients regarding invoices and payroll.
*Knowledgeable of employee payroll taxes to find best tax method when paying bonuses, commissions or off-cycle payment
*Extremely accurate and detail oriented.
*Driven by deadlines
*Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and software applications.
* Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills.
*Ability to provide customer support over the phone, good phone skills, professional demeanor.
*Prism and PaperWise experience a plus. Associates Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and two years of related experience/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation and Schedule:
*Pay is negotiable and depends on experience.
*Usual work hours are five days/week working 8:00 a. m. to 5;00 p. m. However, due to the sometime unpredictable demands and requirements of this job, actual work hours may fluctuate from week to week.
Assignment Type:This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 15 weeks. Once the 15 weeks is over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment out longer through Landrum.
