What is a PEO?
A Professional Employer Organization, like Landrum Professional, offers services and security to both employers and employees. Just like a business owner relies on a law firm for legal advice and a CPA practice for financial advice, a PEO offers human resources expertise and accountability that provides stability for business owners and their employees.
In a relationship among a PEO, a worksite employee and a client company there exists a co-employment relationship where both the PEO and the client company have an employment relationship with the worksite employee. The PEO and the client company enter into an agreement to share the traditional employer responsibilities and liabilities. For example, as a business owner you may choose to have Landrum Professional handle your payroll, administer insurance and drug testing, or mediate any employment disputes.
